The last 3 months I have mostly been trying to get my life in order here in New Zealand. Getting settled in my new house, finding a job and doing fun stuff with the people that I know in Wellington. I have been going to handball trainings, breakfasts, lunches, brunches, dinners, you name it. I went on walks with Muffin and Otis, went to the movies a couple of times and even helped out at two of the NZ Men's training camps with the goalkeepers.
For my birthday, Chris sent me a lovely bouquet of flowers, a little teddy bear and two bags of fudge. With the handball crew I went out for dinner and a cocktail at a place called the Library, where we had our own little room, with an actual bookcase!
The day after Mon took me out to my first official Rugby Union game (in an almost empty stadium).
For two months I have been working for La Cloche, a French cafe with three locations in the city. On my birthday I got an invitation for a job interview and after the interview, I had two trial runs and the week after I signed my contract. I got the hang of the job quite fast and I am a part of an amazing team. Everyday is different and it is an amazing experience.

10 weeks after saying goodbye to Chris, he came over for the weekend and I got the entire weekend off. After having breakfast at La Cloche, we drove from Wellington to the Southward Car Museum in Waikanae, where they had an amazing collection of old fashioned cars, bikes, motorcycles and planes. After which we had a lovely lunch in Upper Hut (in the cafe where I had a job interview a few weeks earlier actually) and drove out to Castle point to visit the lighthouse.
The next day Chris was flying back to Brisbane and it was time for me to fly to Auckland for RnB Jamz Live. In Auckland I met up with one of the girls that played for Spartanz at club champs before heading over to Western Springs and seeing an incredible line up including Eve, Estelle, SaltnPepa Naughty by Nature, Ginuwine, Taio Cruz, Lil John and (last but not least) Usher! Except for the guy being taken down by security right next to me for throwing a few splashes of water around (allegedly) the concert was amazing, a great experience and definitely worth the 4 am wake up and 5 am flight back to Wellington the next morning.

After the long weekend, my life has been mostly focused on working again. With the exception of the send off dinner we had for the ladies who will be representing NZ at the Asian Championships in Japan the coming two weeks starting with a game against the home country tonight. All the best to these beautiful girls, good luck and kick some ass!
Almost 3 months in New Zealand now. I have mostly been focused on getting my life on track and settling in, in this new country and city. Now that everything is going smoothly and calm has returned to my life, it is time to go exploring and see what this beautiful country has got to offer.
See ya next time!
